On April 4, Forbes released its annual billionaires' lists for 2023 - from the world’s richest billionaires to the world’s youngest.
Forbes also released the list of India’s Richest Billionaires, and Reliance’s Mukesh Ambani is the richest in both India and Asia.
And despite his losses, businessman Gautam Adani is still India’s second richest with a net worth of $47.2 billion .
Forbes also recorded 16 newcomers into India’s billionaire list for 2023 - three of whom are women.
With a net worth of $5.1 billion, 59-year-old Rekha Jhunjhunwala takes the place of her husband Rakesh Jhunjhunwala.
On August 14, 2022, ‘Big Bull’ Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, dubbed India’s Warren Buffett, passed away aged 62.
She currently has investments across 29 companies, including Titan, Tata Motors and Crisil.
